Well, I’ve finally done it!
Four years, two jobs and OOS in both wrists, and I’ve managed to complete my Master of Information Management. Some of my best mates thought I was mad - “what’s the point?”, “experience counts for more than qualifications” etc… So why did I do it?
Four years ago the MIM was started, and the Post Graduate qualification was the first offered by VUW dedicated to IT Management. It was either that or the MBA (and that was almost twice the dollar value). So I gave it a go.
I’m glad I stuck at it now, and would highly recommend anyone to this qualification. If not for the learning, then take the plunge and use it as a super networking opportunity.
